Orthotics and Innersoles
Orthotics are used to treat pain and discomfort in the feet and legs, providing support and helping your feet and ankles function better. By correcting the way your feet and body move using an orthotic, you reduce the load on the soft tissue, which enables healing and more efficient functioning. Our podiatrists will only recommend orthotics if other treatment will not be effective.

AFOs and Bracing
Ankle-foot orthoses (AFOs) and bracing are used to combat muscle weakness, joint instability and high muscle tone. We use a variety of custom-made and off-the-shelf products to improve function.

What happens during a consultation? How do you develop Custom Orthotics?
We’ll perform a comprehensive biomechanical assessment, including gait analysis and we’ll discuss your pain with you.

Using the most innovative 3D Infrared Foot Scanner, we’ll scan your feet to accurately capture your individual foot type. Then we work with one of New Zealand’s leading orthotic laboratories to develop your orthotics, if you need them. There are many types of orthotics, including full length and short length, dress and sports, hard and soft. Your Podiatrist will work with you to determine the best orthotics for your needs.

Struggling to fit your current orthotics into your shoes? Experiencing foot or ankle pain and wondering if you need support? Our podiatrists would love to help.
